Our mountain hike through the nature park of the Ampezzaner Dolomites in five days takes us through unique mountain scenery. On this tour we circle the mighty Tofana high above Cortina d'Ampezzo. Our path leads us past gigantic rock faces and over idyllic alpine meadows. But we will also come across the history of the First World War again and again. Our mountain hike also takes us through tunnels and trenches and so we get a visual impression of the horrors of war.
Our mountain hike through the nature park of the Ampezzo Dolomites takes us in wonderful 5 days through unique mountain scenery. On this tour we circle the mighty Tofana high above Cortina d'Ampezzo and always move in the Fanes-Sennes National Park. Our path leads us past gigantic rock faces and over idyllic alpine meadows. But we will also come across the history of the First World War again and again on this hike. Our mountain hike also takes us through mountain tunnels and trenches and so we get a visual impression of the horrors of war.
In stark contrast to the positions, the really beautiful and unique mountain landscape can be seen. We take a break at romantic mountain lakes and dive into the karst landscape of the Dolomites. Although we are moving in wild nature, this tour does not present any major mountaineering difficulties. However, the stages should not be underestimated, as descents of up to 1500 meters in altitude and climbs of up to 1200 meters in altitude have to be mastered.
Notes from our mountain guide: "If you want to go on a summit rally and tick off as many summit crosses as possible, this multi-day hike is not for you! But if you want to experience a truly scenic mountain hike through the Dolomites with really comfortable huts and (for mountain huts) outstanding food, this is the place for you. If everything goes according to plan, we never have to spend the night in a dormitory, but always have multi-bed rooms for ourselves. Since we are moving along the former Austrian-Italian front line of the First World War on the first day, the topics of culture and history are not neglected either. We pass some really magical mountain lakes, experience the fauna of the Alps up close and often walk below the high peaks of the Dolomites. For those who care about botany, it should be said that on the way we will definitely see the rare edelweiss flowers as well as the gentian. The mountain hike is for all people in good physical condition, who have already gained initial experience in mountain hiking and who are sure-footed, are easy to manage. There are no via ferratas, but moderately difficult mountain hiking trails with hand rope insurance. "
